Crackfilling
Cracks in asphalt and pavement need some immediate attention.
By filling these cracks, your asphalt will last much longer, look better, and be more functional.
- Crackfilling
All asphalt or concrete will deteriorate over time. Cracks begin to appear and left unchecked will lead to even more rapid aging of the surface. Crackfilling is the process of filling these cracks with hot rubberized sealer and sometimes cold sealer that creates a bond between the crack. A tight bond wll stretch and contract with the concrete preventing further deterioration and prolonging the life of the surface.
- Do I need it?
We recommend gettting cracks filled as soon as possible. These openings let in water and other harsh elements that can quickly make concrete and asphalt age rapidly. Cornerstone will take a look at the damage and determine the best way forward. In rare circumstances, a surface that has far too many cracks will need to be repaved or resurfaced.
- Savings
In the long run, it’s much better to seal the cracks and prevent you from having to repave for a long time. It will not only save you money but will make the surface more stable, safe, and resistant to the wears and tears of the environment.

We don’t believe in a one size fits all solution. Some contractors only do hotfill and some only do coldfill. We use a combination of both because we don’t believe one is better than the other in all situations. We would love to come examine your pavement and let you know what we think!
